Hello! I’m Shawn Jones, a passionate Staff Product Designer solving complex UX problems and driving measurable outcomes.

Empathy and a people-first mindset shape how I lead teams. When it comes to product development and strategy, I rely on data-driven decisions that create real impact for both businesses and customers. I’ve been fortunate to partner with brands like ezCater, Copper Banking, Charles Schwab, IBM, and the United States. My journey spans an eclectic mix of industries, from financial services and food and beverage to corporate catering, education, and e-commerce.

Adventure and travel fuel my spirit. Living in Colorado, I’m surrounded by breathtaking landscapes perfect for family weekend escapes. I love hiking, skiing, and discovering new wines and bourbons.

01 Design leadership

I have over 5 years of experience leading design and product teams at both large and micro-scaled companies. I've built and scaled design teams, established design processes, best practices, and frameworks, and fostered a collaborative environment for cross-functional team engagements.

02 Design systems

I establish design systems that deliver a flexible, yet consistent, comprehensive approach to scale across products. Using Figma's design tokens, variables, patterns, and properties, I collaboratively create systems that connect design and development.

03 AI tooling and workflows

With the abundance of AI tooling in design and product development, I am passionate about leveraging AI to accelerate and shape design best practices. I've used AI to integrate design systems for quicker development, rapid prototyping, and idea generation, and to validate concepts through user testing.

04 Entrepreneurship and innovation

I've had an entrepreneurial mindset all my life. In 2016, I developed an aquatic prosthetic for amputees to aid in swimming. In 2019, I founded a team to work on an app called Tabless, a contactless ordering experience for bar service, and in 2021, I worked on a happy hour locator app called Boozl. I’m currently working on Tandem, an AI-powered travel experience. I enjoy turning ideas into real-world products.
